31.05.2021: Sightseeing day trips with elements of Polish culture

On May 22nd and 23rd, as part of intercultural and integration events for foreigners and the receiving society, we organized four sightseeing day trips with elements of Polish culture and history.

The trips were from Olsztyn to Frombork.

The beneficiaries of the project had an opportunity to admire the lovely landscape of the Warmia and Masuria and its landmarks. According to the trip schedule, the participants saw the Frombork Cathedral, the Cathedral Hill, the burial place of many well-known persons, e.g. Nicolas Copernicus. The group climbed the Observation Tower, where they could see a breath-taking view of the Vistula Lagoon, the Vistula Split and the Baltic Sea. After lunch, the whole group went for a walk around the port at the Vistula Lagoon.

Theme trips around town and the whole journey were a perfect opportunity to learn about local landmarks, history of the region as well as Poland. They were also an opportunity to exchange intercultural experiences and get to know the migrant environment. Foreigners invited their Polish friends on a trip together and that strengthened integration between them.

The task was carried out by a company, which specializes in the organization of tourist events. The participants were provided with transportation, a guide, entrance tickets and accident insurance.
