30.08.2021: Migration Bulletin no 4
We published the fourth migration Bulletin in August of this year as part of our project activities.
It includes information about e.g. the image of migrants in Poland with particular attention paid to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
The information contained in the bulletin is based on the study commissioned by Caritas Poland and carried out by the PBS Company with headquarters in Sopot. The study, organized as part of project activities, aimed at examining the way in which the residents of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship view foreigners.
Therefore, the Bulletin offers answers to the following questions: are the residents of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship aware of the dynamically changing migrant situation, do they know where the immigrants come from, do respondents have personal contacts with foreigners and how do they evaluate the impact of foreigners on the local labour market.
Another interesting fact may be that more and more foreigners, who settle in Poland, are economic migrants mostly coming from Ukraine. While such people used to come to Poland for short stays before, lately a tendency for long-term stays has been observed. Before, economic migrants were interested in the Masovian Voivodeship, especially the capital city of Poland, now, more and more foreigners who live and work in the Republic of Poland can be found in other voivodeships, including the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
This and other interesting pieces of information can be found in the migrant Bulletin, which will also be available in the download section on our website together with the mentioned Study report. Feel free to read it!
