Current project activities
„Integration support system for foreigners staying on the territory of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the area of social adaptation and integration” co-financed from the National Program of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and state budget has been carried out by Caritas Poland since May 1 2020. So far, more than one thousand migrants seeking support at the information and advisory centre have been registered. Despite the pandemic situation’s been lasting for more than a year, we’ve managed to complete most activities of the project according to our schedule. Therefore, we encourage migrants to seek advice of our integration advisor, consultant, psychologist, vocational advisor and lawyer. Psychological guidance takes place in person, but other services are provided both online and in person. Beneficiaries of the project can obtain living and housing support, that is, get a package with sanitary products, funds for medicine or simple medical procedures, funds for renting a flat or reimbursement of extracurricular classes for children and teenagers (e.g. private lessons, art classes, courses preparing for exams). We are currently carrying out adaptive and Polish language courses. We have completed workshops related to the use of the computer and Internet, which enjoyed much interest. While maintaining proper safety conditions, we’re going to organize day trips and feasts in the coming weeks. Due to the pandemic situation, which makes the launch of our afterschool club for children impossible, we’re going to host cultural events online. Soon, we’ll organize online workshops about multiculturalism and antidiscrimination. The project takes place between May 2020 and May 2021. Therefore, we’d like to invite all interested foreigners to get in touch with us and take part in the project!
